The 1st day of Intermediate MB BCh (Phase 1)

MB BCh is the course that i m currently pursuing in Cardiff... And i m now in my 2nd year...well...it is pretty boring to talk bout academic stuff here but anyway...i think i had a great start of my Year 2...

Right after the enrolment, I attended my 1st lecture of this academic year... it is juz an introductory lecture to all the year 2 medical students, regarding all the stuff that we need to know and ought to do in the coming 9 mths time... it is gonna to b tough but hopefully i will b able to handle it well... :)

There is one particular sentence that i wud like to share with all of u who are still studying now:

RETAIN YOUR INDIVIDUALITY AND DON'T GIVE IN TO THE PEER PRESSURE.

Yo~ I m back in Cardiff!

Time really passes so fast that I din realize that my 3-mth-summer-holiday is gonna end in just a few day’s time. Now, I am back in Cardiff already. Things haven’t been changed much here, despite some newly built buildings which are scattered in different parts of Cardiff.

After spending 9 mths in my previous room in Senghennydd Court last year, I am now living in a student house in Colum Road for the coming 9 mths. Compared to the room I lived in b4, my present room is more spacious n nearer to the sch, even though I am now further away from the city centre. Since I m not really a shopping person, I suppose this doesn’t really affect me much, hopefully.

So far the most enjoyable thing that happened since I arrived here was being able to meet up with ppl, both old n new frens. I am very fortunate to be able to live in this student house together with 3 other classmates and 2 new housemates, all of them are very nice people.

Of course, life doesn’t go so smoothly at all the time. I did meet some probs here, but luckily the probs are not that serious. Few days ago, I thought I had lost my lecture notes but eventually my frens managed to get them back for me. I m really really thankful to them! Also, I am currently not having any internet connection in my room. As a person whose main hobby is to online, I find it quite annoying when I really need to online to get my stuff done. Anyway, this prob will soon b solved as my housemate already apply for the internet service. J

My term will officially commence on 27th September. Currently I dun really hav a really ambitious target for this coming year, I just hope tat I can do better than what I did in the 1st year and be able to enjoy the learning process throughout the year.

Well I guess that’s all for now coz I m feeling quite slpy rite now n seriously need to get some rest for now. Take k, ppl! Nitez!

WK's 5-day-trip

Yo!

I just came back fr a trip. During this trip, I visited a few places: nilai, seremban, subang, setapak, kl, kuantan n kemaman.

Day 1

I travelled to nilai with Ric and his frens. This was my first time to step on the ground of Nilai (actually I went past here for a few times when I went to KLIA). Bsides, a huge INTI College and the TBUN CC, nth really impressed me here. Oh ya, just b4 we arrived in Nilai, we had a scrumptious dinner in Seremban. And I had the opportunity to witness the 'genocide' of the crabs by one of my frens... haha...

After DOTA-ed for nearly 5 hrs, I went to bed at around 430am. What a crazy nite!

Day 2

After saying 'good bye' to Nilai, I went to Sunway Pyramid in Bandar Sunway (obviously!) to meet a fren. Sunway Pyramid hasnt changed significantly since I graduated from Sunway College, just that its carpark has slightly been extended. Anyway, Sunway Pyramid 2 is goin to b opened in 2007 so i think when i go back there next yr, things will change more greatly.

Then we went to yum cha in a cafe near Bukit Bintang b4 goin to petaling st. Petaling st is still as bz as b4, haha...

At nite, i tumpang malam in Chee Han's house. I fell aslp while chatting with him in his room... Zzzzzzz.....

Day 3

I went to Setapak 2day. Not long ago, 1 college student had been murdered here by the snatch thieves. Therefore, I tend to b more 'kful' when jaga my personal belongings while waiting for my frens to pick me up fr the LRT stn.

I actually planned to stay overnite in Setapak but I cancelled this initial plan bcoz my frens were bz preparing for their exams. However, we still had a good chat during our dinner.

Day 4

2day i went to Seremban to visit XY. She brought me to jln jln in the park n i discovered that Seremban actually has a nicer park compared to the jb's hutan bandar! haha.. N we saw a snake in the park! Instead of being frightened by the snake, I was terrified by XY's screaming! =P

Then we went to cari makan after jln jln. However, we spent a great amount of time to find a restaurant bcoz most of the famous restaurants were closed on tat day. Finally we found 1 restaurant and we had our lunch there. Three words to describe the meal: Cheap and nice!

After I bought the seremban 'shao1 bao1', I went to Nilai to meet Ric. Then I tumpang his car to go back to Sunway. I then went to Red Box with Jia Mean n Chee Han. Haha... We really had a great singing session that time! =P

Just b4 we went back home, we jln jln in Putrajaya and had a good talk on one of the bridges there. Hehe...

Day 5

2day I left KL and took a bus to Kuantan to meet my papa there. Finally I had eaten the fishhead curry... haha... Then we jln jln in the town area of Kuantan n Kemaman b4 we went back to my papa's hse.

Day 6

After seeing a giant 'golden dragon fish' in a chinese temple, I went back to JB together with my papa. It took us about 5 hrs to reach JB and finally we had a good chat during the car trip. =)


So my 5-day-trip officially ended on yesterday. It was an enjoyable trip, thanks to my papa n all my frens. It is a great fullstop of my summer hol in 2006! =)
