Dissecting Room's Ceremony of THANKSGIVING

This afternoon, while some ppl were still having their lunch or attending their lectures, a group of ppl, which include the anatomy panel's staffs and the dental and medical students, were all present in the Dissecting Room of School of Biosciences, Cardiff University. The reason why all of us were there was not because of we had a dissecting session, but was to express our gratitude towards those who have donated their bodies for us to study and examine during anatomy practical sessions.

One of the keys to success in anatomy is to examine the real structures of the organs and how r they put together to form a body. Without their generosities in donating their bodies, we will not b able to hav a good grasp in anatomy. In order to make accurate diagnoses, doctors need to first know the human anatomy well. Therefore, i am really thankful for the opportunity tat i receive here to dissect the cadavers, as not many of the unis in uk offer such an opportunity.

May all the donors' soul will rest in peace...

Basic Life Support Session - CPR

Today i had no class... but i had to go to The Heath Hospital to attend the basic life support session. To b more exact, it was actually a brief CPR course. This session was attended by about 20 1st yr medical students and it was conducted by 2 demonstrators who are qualified doctors.

Well.. I m quite familiar wif CPR bcoz i actually took 2 CPR exams whn i was a st john member in secondary sch. The procedures are basically the same but there are sum minor variations. For instance, in malaysia, we usually check the breathing n pulse for 5 secs while the British do this for 10 secs(which i reckon it is a bit 2 long..but i think it is still acceptable lar..).

Hm...Quite a niz chance of refreshing my CPR knowledge but i din really feel excited coz i had done this (on the manikin..not real patients) for many times in sec sch. However, i really njoyed doing this during the trainings n competitions. I like to b in the team~~~

Cell Biology Test

This morning i sat for my first Cell Biology Test of this semester. I had a bad start as i went to the wrong venue(coz i nvr go there b4....and thanks to other medical students who lead me 2 tat way...haha). I started 5 mins late (n i nd a further 5 mins 2 cool myself down). Well..i did finish the questions but i think i cud hav done better if i wasnt late. Anyway..it is over now....hopefully i can pass the exam... :P

Hm...jz had my lunch...after this still hav 2 go for dissecting class until 5pm...omg...

Feel so tired...I WANNA SLP~~~

I hav learnt a lesson....

2day is not a good day for me. I made sum mistakes n eventually causing 2 ppl angry. I am filled with remorse now. SIGH~~ (hm..shudnt sigh 2 much coz this will make me 2 mature...haha...)

I have learnt a lesson dy.. Next time i will not repeat the same mistake, hopefully. I shud ctrl my temper better...

2mr will b better, rite? :)

p/s: I use yellow colour font bcoz yellow colour is associated with forgiveness. :)

Snowing in Cardiff...So nice~~

It started snowing last nite...but i missed the chance to take a picture while it was snowing. When i wanted to close my window at around 5am(coz i was v cold as i 4got 2 close my window..cold air entered my room n made me almost frozen on my bed..haha..), finally i witnessed the snowing scene! I managed to take sum pics but the background was too dark at tat time, so the pictures taken cant really show the snowing clearly. WAT A WASTE!

In the morning, I went to the park wif Zhuang Li, jz to take sum pic of snowing scene b4 going 2 the uni. We managed to take many pics n sum of them were attached in my previous posts already. Also, we produced a funny video clip. haha...

It was indeed beautiful when snowing....hm...hopefully it will snow again in Cardiff...

p/s: but the weather is v v cold ar....aih...i hope i can get fatter so i can resist to the cold weather better..haha...

A Meaningful Article

當天傍晚，媽媽把他帶到海邊。迷人的落日餘暉照在潔白的沙灘上，一群小灰雀和海鷗正在覓食。突然，一陣大浪打來，只見小灰雀敏捷地跳了起來，拍拍翅膀，就直衝雲空；反觀海鷗，反應卻非常笨拙，它們總是慢了幾拍，被海浪打濕了身軀，才能飛走。這時，媽媽指著海鷗說：“孩子你看，這些海鷗的反應還不如小灰雀，它們是不是很笨拙？”“是囉是囉。”孩子點點頭。“可是孩子，你知道嗎，最後能飛越大海橫渡重洋的，並不是那些反應敏捷的小灰雀，而是這些笨拙的海鷗哦！”

如果你的孩子沒有考到A，請告訴自己，失敗也許就是最好的大學。記得，不要害怕孩子摔倒，不要因為孩子在學習的道路上摔倒了就放棄他們，而應鼓勵他們，激勵他們在摔倒中成長起來！

Rcv a call fr my sunway classmate...

While i was slping jz now(i m so tired 2day...having lecture fr 9-4..can u imagine how long is tat?), my hp rang....Usually i will ignore it n jz leave it 2 ring until the caller ends the call, but surprisingly i picked up the phone..even though i was so lazy n so reluctant 2 get up fr the bed.
It did giv me a big surprise as the caller was Nizam..one of my classmates in sunway coll. N we chatted for bout 30mins. Hm..had a niz conversation wif him...we chatted bout a lot of stuff...It was really niz..esp at this moment as i miss msia badly...

Hopefully i can get more news bout my frens in the future... :)

It is 7am now in UK. I jz woke up. HAD A GOOD SLP LAST NITE. (So niz, rite? hehe...)

I gona hav my bfast soon n then attend lectures fr 9-4(wat a long day for me...again~~).

Haha..nth much 2 write dy..coz my brain is still in 'sleeping mode' now. Hav to stimulate it by taking a hot shower now.

It is so cold now..even though i dun hav a thermometer wif me..but i think the temp shud b reaching zero deg...sejuknya~~

Sleep - Enemy or Friend?

For those who know me well, you must know tat I can really slp for long hours - anytime, everywhere. Haha... Nowadays, i think the situation has bcum worse(for those who r having slping problem, u wud say 'it has bcum better'). I never fail to slp b4 i finish my work every night. OMG~~

I know i m quite lucky compared to those who cannot slp well. However, if this situation continues, I muz really adjust my timetable. Otherwise i cannot complete my work in time already.

I slp a lot..how? But IF i cant slp well, how? Oh no...i m sleepy now..gonna slp again...

Another exam(Cell Biology) is just around the corner, omg..gotta study hard fr now...

I tend to b v lazy n slpy when the weather is cold..PPL, the temp here is almost zero deg now...summore i hav no much fat deposited under my skin(to those who hav, congratulations! hehe)...cannot realy keep my body warm..but strangely enough...even though it is cold..i dun really wear many layers as most ppl do bcoz i m V LAZY to wrap my body wif so many layers of clothes...haha...(dun throw eggs 2 me...although i know it is lame..haha)

Anyway..i jz woke up..needa eat bfast now b4 attending a tutorial at 10am..

Cake baking session & MSSCF Bazaar 2005

Yo! I m very sorry for not updating my blog as frequently as b4. (Ah Wan, b more patient lar!! :P) There r 2 reasons for this: 1st, I m busy; 2nd, I M JUST TOO LAZY... haha...

Anyway..let me just tell u guys bout few events that I experienced for the past few days......

On Friday nite...me n my frens (guy3, zl n calv) baked cakes for the 1st time in our life(but i think guy3 n calv hav alr baked a few cakes b4)!(p/s: yp..it is jz too bad coz i cannot send u the cakes tat i bake..anyway..i will post the pics for u...) WE spent bout 5 hours jz too produced the cakes...it was v tiring...v time consuming but IT WAS FUN~~(I like 2 keep myself bz nowadays so tat i hav no time 2 think sth else which is negative...)

U guys muz b asking now: Why I baked all these cakes? Well..it was bcoz I had to sell them during the Bazaar organized by the Malaysian Society. I managed to sell bout 3++ cakes out of 4..not bad rite? :P
