Today is the 2nd last day of 2009. It has been an eventful year for me and the past 364 days were indeed well lived for, not because I achieved a lot of goals but it is because I had lots of opportunities to learn from mistakes, although some mistakes were better not made in the 1st place. Haha... but this is life isn't it? u cant choose wat mistakes to make, u just gotta make them all in order to learn things tat make u a more mature person.
As for my new year resolution, i just hope tat i will remember the lessons that i learnt from b4 and try to learn more without having made too many mistakes. =P And i oso hope tat i can enjoy more quality time with family and friends. And last but not least, to pass my finals!

The motto of "learning from mistakes" is, indeed,a double-edged sword, that can make you either a better/ worse person:
i. It makes you really regret for what you've done and hence you'd make an effort to avoid making the same mistakes in future;
ii. It just makes you feel better by dismissing all the wrongs in past as "pure mistakes" - it helps to lessen your guilt, but the pain that has been caused to others just cannot be erased away by the claim of "pure mistakes".
I sincerely hope that the first one applies. Happy new year.
