One of the frequent feeling that I always have since i came to UK is the feeling of homesickness.
Finals are coming soon. I am gonna sit for 9 papers over 1 wk's time. I have so much to revise yet so little of time. I m not complaining anything here but just to express the feeling of homesick.
If homesick tends to be maximum when the stress level is at the highest point, i think i have reached the point already. And i know this point will plateau for at least 2 more mths, until the exams are over.
According to the medical curriculum designed by the med sch, i will need to reach satisfactory levels in the following 3 components in order to pass Year 3:
- Attitude and Conduct (A&C) - good attendance at placements and able to show respect to the staffs and patients.
- Knowledge and Understanding (K&U) - pass the written exams
- Skills and Competencies (S&C) - possess good clinical and non clinical skills
Based on these 3 domains, i then developed a plan for the upcoming exams:
"think positively and be more hardworking" (A&C) - positive attitude and conduct
" cover as many learning outcomes as possible (even though it is quite impossible =P)" (K&U) - try my best to improve K&U levels over a short period
"Study hard and study smart" (S&C) - be skillful and competent in handling stress while carry on revising.
Alright, time to get back to the work again! Ta~
