A Marvellous Match

I just came back from watching the final match of the Champions League between two English teams - Man Utd and Chelsea FC. It was such a good game which i must rate it as "NTBM" (not-to-be-missed).

Man Utd was playing well at the 1st 30 mins or so and was leading by 1 goal to nil. However, Chelsea made a brilliant comeback by scoring an equaliser just before the halftime whistle went off.

They tied the game until the penalty shootouts.

When C. Ronaldo missed the 2nd penalty, it seemed that Chelsea might win the game because personally i felt that their players were more psychologically prepared for the shootouts. A dramatic twist occured when their captain missed the last penalty which could have been their winning penalty. So the game reached the sudden-death stage.

Man utd scored the next penalty while their keeper stopped the Chelsea's last penalty.
Man Utd won!!!!

This game was so exciting yet so cruel. Both teams played extremely well. However, this game must have a winner and a loser. I am a fan of Man Utd but i must say that in terms of performance both teams are the winners. Nonetheless, the luck was on Man Utd which made the the European Champion.

I really enjoyed watching this game not only because of the players' performance but also due to the fact tat I have learnt sth fr it:

1. Life is full of twists. If we try our best we can change the failure to success.
2. A winner who wins by true strength is called a winner but a winner who wins by luck is also called a winner. Therefore, we should not take the outcome of a competition too seriously because we may just lose it as the Lady Luck did not want to smile at us.
